Networking & Marketing

Networking

Networking is an important component of all BOMA events. Our luncheon programs, community service projects, new member orientation meetings, real estate student receptions, and committee work all provide opportunities for meaningful networking. We also actively work to foster professional relationships among our members through the strategies and events developed by our Service Providers Council and our Special Events Committee.

Marketing

Our BOMA members annually make more than $360 million in purchasing decisions for their companies. BOMA offers the opportunities for both members and nonmembers to market their products and services through the association, however members have several unique advantages including the ability to participate in the organization and therefore develop professional relationships. Our tradition of professional etiquette maintains that members do not initiate sales-oriented conversations at BOMA events, however, the interaction during meetings and association events can provide the foundation for profitable relationships between members.

BOMA provides the following opportunities to market to our members. Please contact the BOMA office to learn which events are upcoming and open for sponsorships.

Luncheon sponsorships – Be the exclusive sponsor of one of our monthly luncheon meetings where you will have a display table and be recognized from the podium, in our newsletter and on our website as the program’s sponsor.

Seminar sponsorships – Usually several sponsorships at different levels are offered for these bi-annual events.

Golf tournament, summer social, and holiday reception sponsorships provide many opportunities throughout the year to gain recognition by our members.

Advertise in our newsletter, our annual directory, or on our website. Reach nearly 700 decision-makers and readers with each ad.

Resource Fair – Associate and Professional Members have the opportunity to exhibit their products and services at this annual trade show, which is considered one of the best trade shows in the industry in our region. Following the 2006 Resource Fair, BOMA’s then-President, Steve Herron from Zeller Realty emailed us to say, “I could not have been more impressed with the level of excitement, energy, professionalism, vendor participation and overall turnout from the BOMA membership at this event. This was a huge success.” One of the exhibitors added, “Best 3 hours I’ve ever spent at a trade show!” The excitement and participation grows every year.
