Talking Trash! The Future of Solid Waste for the Commercial Segment
Hennepin County has released it's 2018 Solid Waste Management Master Plan, which is prepared every six years. It outlines aggressive recycling goals and objectives including the expansion of organics recycling. The goal is 75% recycling of ALL waste by 2030!
At the same time, the City of Minneapolis released their Zero Waste Plan Study late last year and proposes very ambitious recycling goals for upcoming years. The plan includes the possibility of franchising or increasing licensing requirements for the C/I segment.
